Çay TV is a national television channel founded on March 2, 1995.
Since its establishment, the channel has successfully continued its broadcasting journey for decades. In its early years, Çay TV gave viewers the impression of being a regional channel, focusing mainly on the Black Sea region. Over time, however, the channel evolved its programming. In 2005, it took its first significant step toward becoming a national broadcaster by obtaining a digital satellite license.
Although Çay TV has expanded its reach nationwide, its broadcast schedule has always given priority to news and programs from the Black Sea region, which is why it enjoys particularly high viewership in that area.
